its been forever, im so sorry -.-. Atleast you are nice enough to talk to me, it
seems like all my friends on here dont talk to me anymore. Thank you for posting
on my GB. im doing ok, how about you? also do you have MSN or Yahoo messenger?
Greetings! **Tips her hat** I was just passing by this old forum I used to go to
often [not anymore, though], and saw your response. Let's get down to
business.
Quote: hi, u wrote on one of my
thread, i just wanted to say something, if u dont wanna read then u dont have
to, but some people who write threads about suicide arent all bad, if they r
trying to get attention, then yes its stupid and bad
Normally
I wouldn't give off a response if it doesn't really pertain to any suitable
material for me, and yes, in fact I do mostly overlook them, but just for your
thoughtful input, I would like to give off my very own.
In regards to suicide threads, I've seen and heard too many on North American
sites like MySpace, for example, where "emos" go way out of
proportion, and sometimes, people get in an argument just because they seem to
be "crying for help" when "nobody even seems to
care."
Crossing on a bed of eggshells, this situation can be quite anonymous and very
delicate at the same time, and I'm not here trying to say that every thread that pertains to emo / suicide
doesn't mean its necessarily [and automatically] bad right off the bat. You
nailed the right idea on the head - those who just do it for the gathering of
affection and attention while lying about their suicides can really get to a lot
of people at times, which is quite "normal" as a matter of fact, and I
hear it all too often from my friends that they are a bunch of
"whiners" who need to talk about it in secret, rather than public.
That's pretty much one of the only reasons I clearly disapprove about these
threads, but considering that each scenario is different, some of them do
contain a matter of meaning to coping with one's pain and burden in
life.
It's fairly difficult to distinguish it all unless you have read it and observed
it for yourself, and then you should criticize whether it is believable, or
make-belief. Not sure why I am saying this, when I'm sure you already know about
these kinds of situations all too well. Not every suicide thread is a walk in
the park. Some are too controversial, and the best thing I can summarize up here
is that people would be better off if they wrote it secretly towards their
closest friends than showing if off in public, and yes, there are exceptions
[like you pointed out, what if they had no friends?]. To cut to the point,
posting your personal threatening life to a bunch of strangers can be fairly
nerve-racking at times. That's why they always come up with the term: "use
at your own risk."
Quote: but if they r asking for
help u shouldnt disrespect them, they're trying to grt help so it wont come to
suicide, maybe they dont have anybody to talk to, or maybe another reason for
not talking to family or friends. but it sounds like u've never been hurt so bad
to were u would wanna committe suicide
True - while in the
recesses of the downtown Kyoto region here in Japan, I have never really ever
encountered anybody in real life who was gone to the driven point of insanity
and madness. Maybe that must be because I'm not far into the Internet thing than
many others are, in regards to hearing multimedia broadcasting news telling
cases of stalking, dangerous "chat" rooms, "cyberbullying,"
and the sorts. I can't really imagine those kind of people exist, but that's
because I'm not in the "lower playing field" as they are, and I don't
really hang around in any "corrupt world" that deals with guns, drugs,
or violence, and besides - I'm far too busy and enjoying life to notice it often
anyways. I'm living pretty much in the "good" parts of the community,
as we speak.
Quote: so u really shouldn't
criticise the people who are hurt and in need
When you post
in the forums, the fundamental rule is that if you state something, you are
validated for a request back of an opinion, especially if it is considered a
criticism. Everyone has the right to state their own opinions, and there tends
to be heated arguments at times, but the truth is that it is inevitable going to
happen to somebody, someday, at any place, not just on the Internet. There's
always going to be a "bad apple in the bunch" who will always go
against the norm. and make matters worse. As long as no one crosses out of the
line that can possibly bend or break the forum guidelines [like slander,
misdemeanour], then there's no harm done really.
Unless of course, you are in a community that doesn't really enforce or care
about what others have to say [no ethical codes involved]. Then you better get
the heck out of there. lol
Quote: i just wanted to say and
have u hear the other side of the story, if that made sense. ^-^ sorry if u're
ticked of or anyhting like that, i just thought it would be good if i told u
this. ^-^ byes!
Actually, it is very hard for me to turn the
other cheek as I know that thinking with a clear, straight mind, and not
resorting to flaming is the perfect example of how a person should conduct in an
orderly manner in the forums. But enough of that literary stuff **Giggles** - to
be down to earth, I'm not really the type of person who tends to get agitated at
times, and its very hard for me to get angry when there's nothing I personally
have against the person [unless they try to provoke you - now that's a different
case]. And I am highly open to opinions, as long as they are of a potent
material well thought about. That's just me. **Shrugs**
Thanks for dropping by, and take care. **Waves her ornamental fans and suddenly
leaves**
